| CoFluent Design releases SystemC ESL architecting and design tool The latest CoFluent Studio™ version is presented at the DATE conference on February 17-19 in Paris A successful conclusion of years of R&D Originating from the MCSE labs at the Ecole polytechnique of the University of Nantes, France, CoFluent Studio benefits from 30 persons-years of R&D and has always been developed in close partnership with major industrials. Among others, the MEDEA+ MESA European project contributed to the enhancement of the software tools supporting the industry-proven electronic co-design methodology created by the Professor Jean-Paul Calvez. With CoFluent Studio, CoFluent Design releases a mature and highly innovative product in the promising ESL design domain. A unique architecting and design environment for mixed HW/SW systems CoFluent Studio is a new-generation System Design Environment (SDE) for creating and validating optimized and differentiated designs of embedded systems in reduced time and at lower risks. CoFluent Studio lets architects of multicore networks-on-chip or distributed multiprocessor systems go beyond the traditional bus-centric approach. Analysis of system-level communications and processor workloads allows them to make sound architectural decisions. CoFluent Studio enables designers to capture and verify a fully-timed functional model of their system through graphics and C code. A Rapid Architecture Exploration (RAE) cycle enables iterative experimentations of various architectural design choices for ideal system partitioning and dimensioning based on prospective performance analysis. The lightweight and fast co-simulation engine doesn’t require an Instruction-Set Simulator (ISS) for software execution; rather, it extends the SystemC 2.0 library with a full RTOS emulation. The resulting transaction-level SystemC model is automatically generated from the complete system architecture and can be used as virtual prototype for enabling embedded software development before real hardware is available. “CoFluent Studio is a unique tool that provides a strong common methodological base for developing both complete systems and circuits” said Stéphane Leclercq, CoFluent Design CEO. “CoFluent Studio’s high abstraction levels and co-design approach help rationalize system development process. It enables designers to create executable specifications and demonstrate virtual prototypes of their system very early and thus, contributes to reducing time-to-profitability.” About CoFluent Design CoFluent Design develops and sells CoFluent Studio™, a System Design Environment (SDE) for creating and validating designs of embedded hardware/software systems and integrated circuits (SoC, FPGA/ASIC) at lower costs. Based on an intuitive system-level hardware/software co-design methodology, CoFluent Studio helps better master complexity, improve productivity, mitigate risks and optimize designs. CoFluent Studio enables developers to explore and validate various architectural design choices for ideal system partitioning and dimensioning based on fully-timed C++ or SystemC co-simulation and prospective performance analysis. It automatically generates synthesizable VHDL and C code for real-time kernels. http://www.cofluentdesign.com mailto:info@cofluentdesign.com |
