CoFluent Design presents new generation SystemC tool at SAME

After the awards won this summer at the Concours National and Tremplin Entreprises, CoFluent Design chooses the SAME forum in Sophia-Antipolis to publicly present its products dedicated to integrated systems: CoFluent Studio™ for SoC and CoFluent Studio for FPGA.
CoFluent Studio for SoC is a SoC architecting and design environment that allows SoC designers to create and verify a high-level SystemC model (above transaction-level) of the complete system architecture. CoFluent Studio’s unique SystemC simulation engine fully supports SystemC 2.0 and provides additional unique capabilities such as RTOS emulation for microprocessors. Its high simulation speed (estimated 1000x faster than RTL simulation) allows designers to accelerate developments by reducing the design/verification/correction cycle. Functional problems are interactively detected and analyzed at simulation time and are immediately corrected in the model to enter a new cycle. Comparably, thanks to the separated SoC functional model and hardware architecture, designers analyze performances, detect potential problems (overloaded CPU or bus, bottlenecks) and instantly explore different hardware/software partitioning or system dimensioning strategies. Multiple architectures can be tried to find the optimal one.
CoFluent Studio for FPGA is a simple VHDL-centered design-entry tool that mixes system-level graphical design and textual VHDL description for low-level data computation only. Thanks to its high-level abstraction of the chip’s internal structure and communications, it accelerates developments and increases quality of designs. Test benches can be added to the chip design and embedded in the automatically generated VHDL code for further synthesis.
CoFluent Design exhibits at the SAME forum on October 8 and 9, 2003 on booth # 32.
